The Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab Government has taken a massive step toward fulfilling its major election promise. The official name of the scheme is “Mukh Mantri Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana.” For the 2026-27 budget, the government has allocated Rs. 9,300 Crore specifically for this initiative.
Registration Starting Date
Registration for this scheme is highly likely to begin on 13 April 2026, on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi. Eligible women can apply through the official Punjab government portal (link will be updated soon).

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Punjab.
- The woman must be 18 years or older.
- Exclusions: Government employees, women already receiving certain pensions, and women from Income Tax-paying families are not eligible.
Documents Required (Keep Ready)
- Aadhaar Card: Must have a Punjab address.
- Voter Card: Punjab registered.
- Bank Account: Must be linked with Aadhaar (Direct Benefit Transfer – DBT).
- Mobile Number: Linked with Bank and Aadhaar.
- Caste Certificate: Required to claim the Rs. 1500 benefit (for SC category).
Payment Timeline
After the registration process is completed, it is expected that the first installment will be credited directly to bank accounts starting from May or June 2026.
